Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to our agency! Effective January 1st, 2016, MVNA will integrate with Hennepin Healthcare Systems, Inc. and will share volunteer services with Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). Community of Caring Volunteer

Purpose: To assist the Community of Caring manager in updating inventory records, stocking in kind donations as they are received, filling orders for nurses, and general upkeep of Community of Caring area and systems.

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per week

Volunteer Administrative Support for MVNA 

Purpose: To provide administrative and clerical support to MVNA. Some specific needs are:

    • Scanning flu consent forms
    • Filing medical records
    • Collating patient intake folders

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per week

Kit Builder for Community of Caring (Individual or Group)

Purpose: To support Community of Caring by donating, or gathering donations, of items needed to form various kits given to families by MVNA nurses. Volunteers also package donations into kit form. See all volunteer kits.

Term: Ongoing and off site      

Volunteer Driver 

Purpose: To support Community of Caring and MVNA’s Marketing department by driving to pick up food for our food shelf and distribute brochures and rack cards to area libraries, etc. All driving is within the Metro area.

Time Commitment: Once every two weeks for 1-3 hours. We will work with your schedule (must have a valid driver’s license, own a vehicle with auto insurance).
